Looking for websites for our assignment was not an easy thing to do. I really wanted to focus on dental procdures or patient eduation DS. It was very frustrating not to find them easily and so many website off of google would not actually have examples. They were primarily written information. I am sure if I had a lot of time to browse, I could find some or at least find sites that could lead me to finding some.

Tatiana, I also agree with you on the frustration of not finding may websites that included DS in dentistry. I know this first-hand because you and I spent a couple of hours searching this when we were doing our homework assignment together. Yes, time is always of the essence!

ReplyDeleteMy former career was Dental Hygiene. I am excited that you ladies are taking technology classes. You are probably going to have to be the pioneers for DS in Dental Education, both for the dental hygiene students and to help the students you serve create digital stories for the patients they serve.
Unlike you, I am not surprised there aren't any digital stories out there unless you created them. What time does the health field historically give to computer skills as part of the curriculum. Thanks to Dr. Robin, I guess maybe it is easing into the future.
Patient education is a great topic for digital storytelling and hopefully we will see more stories created.

I am looking for you too. I found something yesterday but didn't have time to bookmark etc...on way out the door to church. If I find the article I will post it.
I find stuff because I have NO LIFE! You just have to keep thinking of unique phrases/words to search with. Have you tried breaking it down into digital stories + flouride or digital stories about periodontal disease...etc.... ? You may have to be specific. Oral health and digital stories or digital storytelling... even changing the words in that way may help.
